Nursing Education Grants
Purpose
Nursing Education Grants offered by the Pennsylvania Higher Education
Foundation help alleviate the state's
nursing shortage and prevent further decline in the workforce. Grants
will help schools increase capacity in their nursing programs and generate
new avenues to financial support, otherwise not available to schools -
and ultimately students. Health care organizations, health systems, and
other health care related organizations across Pennsylvania support the
creation and proliferation of the Nursing Education Grants program and
have worked with the Foundations to ensure their effectiveness.
Overview
The Foundation awards grant funds to non-profit public and private nursing
schools operating in the state of Pennsylvania who will use the funds
to:
- increase enrollment
- improve student retention
- improve licensure pass rates
Schools can use the grants to complement existing recruitment, education
and retention programs already in place.
Guidelines
For information on guidelines, or to find out if your institution is a
